Dr. Tonita Rankin is a compassionate and driven medical doctor who is dedicated to providing the best possible care for her patients. Dr. Rankin began her medical journey after completing her Associate degree in Natural Sciences at the University College of the Cayman Islands. She completed her medical degree from University of West Indies in Jamaica and then completed her internship and Senior House Officer at the Health Services Authority in the Cayman Islands where she gained experience in various medical specialties.
Her passion lies in Adolescent Medicine which was sparked during her time in Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, where she witnessed firsthand the unique challenges faced by the adolescent population. She decided to pursue her passion for Adolescent health further by pursuing a Master's degree in Psychology, which she believed would provide her with a deeper understanding of the mental health aspect of adolescent care.
Currently, Dr. Rankin is also pursuing a graduate diploma in Paediatrics to gain further knowledge and experience in her chosen field. She is committed to providing the best possible care for her patients and looks forwards to completing her residency in Paediatrics/Adolescent Medicine in the near future.
