Dr. Stephen E. Blake is a highly skilled Consultant Radiologist with extensive experience in General Diagnostic Radiology. He obtained his Medical Degree from the Superior Institute of Medical Sciences in Santa Clara, Cuba, and completed his specialty training in Radiology obtaining his Doctor of Medicine Degree in Radiology at the University of the West Indies, Mona in Jamaica.
Dr. Blake also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of the West Indies, Mona, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare Administration from Northeastern State University.
Throughout his career Dr. Blake has worked at various institutions in Jamaica (KRIS Radiology, ERIN Radiology, St. Jago Radiology, Hargreaves Hospital, and Spanish Town Hospital) and now the Cayman Islands Health Services Authority.
Dr. Blake has a broad range of expertise in areas such as cardiac imaging, breast imaging (doing procedures such as breast biopsies and hook wire localization), and Cancer screening (for colon cancer, multiple myeloma, and lung cancer), utilizing advanced tools like X-rays, CT scans, mammograms, ultrasounds, and MRI.
Dr. Blake provides personalised care to his patients and involves them in the decision-making process.
In addition to his professional work, Dr. Blake has received the Micheal Manley Scholarship and served as the Chairman of the Jamaica Association of Medical and Dental Students in Cuba. Dr. Blake has also presented on several topics, including colon cancer screening, and has actively engaged in community involvement through radio talk shows and educational presentations.
Dr. Blake has been a practicing physician for the past 20 years and is a member of several professional associations, including the Jamaica Association of Radiology, Caribbean Society of Radiology, American College of Radiology, Radiology Leadership Institute, Radiological Society of North America, and European Society of Radiology. He is fluent in Spanish and enjoys spending time with his family, going to the movies, exercising, and listening to music.
