Dr. Omotayo Bernard is a Consultant Psychiatrist at the Health Services Authority. She is a general psychiatrist and the current Head of the Department. In addition, Dr. Bernard is a treating psychiatrist at His Majesty's Prison Northward. She is also a member of the Mental Health Commission. Dr. Bernard earned medical and postgraduate degrees at the University of the West Indies, Mona. She has extensive experience as a mental health professional and worker at the Bellevue Hospital in Jamaica and the University Hospital of the West Indies. She also worked as a consultant psychiatrist in the Parish of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica.
Dr. Bernard is dedicated to improving the lives of people living with mental health conditions and continues to be a passionate advocate.
