Mariah Freeman recently joined the speech therapy team at the Cayman Islands Health Services Authority as a Junior Speech Language Therapist. In 2016, she was generously awarded a Cayman Islands Overseas Government scholarship to pursue her studies in the United States. In the spring of 2019, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders. Her studies continued at Louisiana Tech University, where she was awarded her Master of Arts degree in Speech Pathology in 2019. Following her studies, she remained in the United States where she gained her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association in June 2022.
Mariahs work experience is within the pediatric population. Primarily working with children with autism spectrum disorder. Her goal is to provide the highest quality of care possible by collaborating with families and experienced professionals within and outside of her field. She is very passionate about building on patients' current skills to reach their individual speech and language goals.
