Cook (Faith Hospital)
The Cook is responsible for preparation of all meals to specific dietary requirements of all patients as recommended by doctors and dietitians.
Primary Responsibilities: The successful candidate will prepare meals for the hospital patients in accordance to dietary requirements ensuring that all food is prepared and served at the highest quality. Will ensure that all food is prepared in accordance to standard approved recipes, including therapeutic diets for special needs and short orders. The candidate will accurately record all food logs, including weekly ordering of meats and produce needed. Maintains a clean working area and equipment on a daily basis, whilst ensuring that all dietary staff are following all safety and sanitary regulations.
Qualifications and Experience: The successful candidate must possess a Culinary Diploma and have a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience. Must possess Food Handler’s Certificate from the Department of Environmental Health. The successful candidate must be knowledgeable in operating food service equipment and sanitization policies and procedures for a large organization. The successful candidates will have the ability to work shifts, public holidays and weekends.
A remuneration and benefits package, commensurate with experience and qualifications will beoffered to the successful candidates.
