Dentist (Faith Hospital)

On call Allowance of CI$18,000 per annum

The Dentist provides oral health care services to the residents of Cayman Brac and Little Cayman in alignment with internationally accepted standards.

Primary Responsibilities: The successful candidate is the sole Dentist responsible for delivering dental care services at Faith Hospital. He/she is required to provide a standard of oral health that enables individuals to eat, speak and socialize without active disease, discomfort, or embarrassment, contributing to their overall well-being. The role includes leading a dental team consisting of a Dental assistant and Dental therapist, while also collaborating with the broader healthcare team. The Dental Officer must also travel to the Little Cayman Health Center once a month and may be required to travel to the main HSA campus in Grand Cayman on a quarterly basis for ongoing training and to conduct clinics at the request of the Chief Dental Officer as needed. Additionally, the Dental Officer is solely responsible for being on call for dental emergencies.

Qualifications and Experience: The successful candidate must possess a degree from an accredited college in Dentistry with at least five (5) years post graduate experience and be listed in the "National Registry". The candidate must have experience in oral surgery and treatment under general anaesthesia. He/she should be eligible to obtain registration with the Health Practice Commission in the Cayman Islands. The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team is essential. The candidate must have demonstrated commitment to continuing education and a willingness to keep up with internationally accepted standards.
