Phlebotomy Technician Certificate
Phlebotomy technicians are important members of the healthcare team who collect blood and prepare samples for testing.
Course Details
The course begins in August 2024 and will run for 6-8 months.
- Monday & Wednesday, 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
- *Third Saturday of the month, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
The training will be held at the George Town Hospital, Hibiscus Conference Rooms

Pre-requisites
- Minimum High School Diploma with passes including:
- Math
- English
- Biology or any other related subject
- Professionals trained in allied health fields may also be eligible for course enrollment
- Proof of being Caymanian
Fees: KYD 2500 per student (Cost includes all course materials, books, and lab supplies.)
- This course will include training materials and a pass certifying exam at the end of the programme.
- Successful candidates will receive a Phlebotomy Technician Certification through HSA.
- Be eligible to sit the American Medical Technologist accreditation exam (at the applicant’s cost).
- All students enrolling in this course must present a valid ID and health insurance at the time of registration.
